Parts score!

Can anyone guess what this is?

Here's a hint, they were a super sought after piece in the mid-fifties.

Barn Find Friday: 53 Henry J

When was the last time you saw a stock Henri J that wasn't either rotting into the ground or cut up as a gasser? This one's been hiding for the last 43 years. Last driven in 68.

Striping with the quickness.

I've watched a lot of people stripe, and it never ceases to amaze me. My buddy Dennis sent this to me, and I had to watch it twice. Granted, this dude has probably done thousands of these tanks, and perhaps with monotony comes precision, but still... Damn, that's some serious swiftness.

Pro-Touring 69 Camaro

Rough sketchwork on Steve's Camaro... should be bad ass when it's done.

New Bike Score! 1952 Columbia Cruiser

Had to make a run about an hour north this morning to pick up some parts for my truck and happened to come home with this as well. From running the numbers I've found that it's a mid-year 1952. A bit bumped around, but aside from missing the seat, it's all there. The old Goodyear "All Weather" tires even took air when I pumped 'em up this afternoon! I have some fun plans for this one, so I'll keep you all posted.

Barn Find Friday: 63 Galaxie

Well, not a great description on this one.. No good story, & no timeline of when it came off the road, so normally I'd say this is one of those "over-use of the term" style ads, and for that matter, it is. Though for $950 OBO, it looks like a hell of a solid starting point for someone who digs early 60's 2dr HT Fords.

HI Speed 26 "T"

Some rough sketchwork on a project that my buddy Anthony is about to start working on at Hi Speed Rods Customs & Choppers in Tuscon AZ. So far the Idea is a full fendered T, with a mild chop and subtle indy touches.

Sins Of Steel 2011

Made it out to Sins Of Steel again this year. Crazy to think that only a year ago at the first SOS, it was the first time I sold my artwork. Unfortunately my buddy Wayne couldn't make it out this year, but at least I had my trusty copilot:

Like always, there were some really nice cars, and overall it seemed to be a good turnout.

This car was particularly menacing.  Really bad ass.

My buddy Rob picked this up:

And my other buddy Mark brought this, which he recently finished building. (Full feature on this one to come)

All in all a successful show. I met some good people, sold enough work to cover the booth and buy a couple of beers, and got a serious sun burn.  Puppy spent the ride home sleepin it off.

Barn Find Friday: 30 Model A Coupe

Built in the 60's, 283 3-speed, tuck and roll, and probably a patina you couldn't fakeif ya tried.  Hefty price tag, but it is a runner.

Little Red... Salt Flats Runner?

Just an idea I had about making an unexpected salt flats style race car.

Talk about a brick in the wind! But if ya think about it, with a low center of gravity, and engine set back to make a good balance, it might be surprisingly successful!... or maybe not, but it still looks cool to me. :)
